Description
For the most part, people view the drug Viagra in a positive light. Viagra Super Active is a chemically improved variation of the original drug.
This is the 4th variant of the original form of Viagra. It is still found to have sildenafil as the main ingredient.
Sildenafil is a phosphodiesterase-5 enzyme inhibitor. It stops production of this enzyme for a while. This increases the flow of blood to the penile tissue.
It is used in the treatment of erectile dysfunction in men. It is approved by the FDA as a viable treatment for sexual impotence.
Important data
Unlike older variants of Viagra, the Super Active pill is encased in a gelatin coating. This is dissimilar to the hard pills found previously.
The gelatinous coating dissolves in saliva when placed under the tongue. This allows it to be absorbed much faster into the bloodstream.
This results in the effects of the Viagra Super Active pill being visible far faster than the original pill. However, this fast response time must be handled with caution.
The formula used in the manufacture of Viagra Super Active is touted by the manufacturer as being more reliable than older versions.
One huge benefit of Viagra Super Active as opposed to the other versions of Viagra and other impotency medication is its compatibility with other drugs.
This medication can be taken in conjunction with nitrate drugs that are commonly used to treat heart conditions, arrhythmia and angina.
It has also been shown to increase the capacity for exercise in heart condition patients by lowering blood pressure and heart rate.
Dosage
The dosage of Viagra Super Active is the same as for older versions of the pill. It is recommended that the tablet be taken just once every 24 hours.
Take the tablet as needed. Do not take it more than once daily. Swallowing isn’t necessary. Place the pill under the tongue and wait for it to dissolve.
Wash it down with a glass of water. Do not drink alcohol while taking the pill as it could result in some side effects.
The initial standard adult dosage is 50mg once daily, at least an hour before engaging in sexual activity. This can be increased to 100mg or reduced to 25mg depending on need.
The dosage recommended for people over the age of 65 is a starting dose of 25mg once a day, usually an hour before sexual activity.
Missed doses and overdose
Since Viagra Super Active is taken when it is needed, you aren’t going to be missing any doses or feeling any effects of it.
Do not try and take extra Viagra Super Active for better results. Because the pill is so fast acting, it could result in a fatality if not treated.
If an overdose does occur, call your local poison hotline immediately. Contact emergency medical services as soon as possible.
