The effects of this medication can last up to 5 hours after taking it. For the best results, it is recommended that Viagra Professional is taken at least an hour after a meal.

 

Do not eat too many food items that contain high fat content. Try to reduce your alcohol consumption as well. This takes away the risk of side effects.

 

The usual adult dose of Viagra Professional is 50mg taken once daily. Never take two pills in 24 hours. Viagra is taken on an as-needed basis.

 

Missed doses and overdose

 

Since Viagra Professional is taken as needed, you should not feel any adverse effects if you happen to miss a dose.

 

Never take larger doses to try and get better results. You will only be opening yourself up to an overdose. If you overdose, call your local poison hotline and EMS.

 

Side effects

 

Common side effects include:

 Headaches
 Dizziness
 Flushed skin

 

More severe side effects include:

 

 Heart attacks
 Blindness
 Priapism
 Uneven pulse
 Ringing in ears
 Seizures
 Fainting

 

Call your doctor immediately if you experience these side effects.

 

Contraindications

 

Never take Viagra Professional if you are also on another type of erectile dysfunction medication like Cialis or Levitra.

 

Do not take it if you are following a course of antibiotics, antivirals or antifungals unless your doctor specifically advises you to.

 

Stop taking it immediately if you experience an allergic reaction to the sildenafil in the Viagra Professional.
