Description
Rhinocort is a nasal spray consisting of budesonide and corticosteroid. This drug helps prevent release of substances which cause swelling in the nasal passages in our body.
This spray is mainly used for nasal infections which we usually suffer in winters or in seasonal changes like sneezing, running nose and congestion allergies. This is also prescribed to the people who take polyp surgery, just to prevent polyps to come back.
Important Information
Before taking this medication, make sure that your doctor is aware about your medical history, like any eye problems or infection related to your nose problem. As this nasal spray contains some ingredients which can react and give some allergies to you.
Avoid contacting people who have some communicable infections like flu, chickenpox and etc. Most importantly this medication is not allowed for the ladies who are either pregnant or are breast-feeding a baby because intake of this medication at this time of your motherhood may change some of your internal hormones and be harmful for your child.
Do not use these types of Corticosteroid medications for long term as they even result in some serious injuries physically.
How to use Rhinocort?
You should precisely read out all the instructions over the leaflet before starting this medication. In case of any queries and concern you should contact your doctor. The dosage of this spray should be taken care only as directed by your doctor, which should basically be 1 to 4 times a day in each nostril. Before using it, you should carefully read out the instructions, shake well the container before you use it every time and then firmly blow the pump in your nostril.
The intake of this spray considers the age factor, as the children needs a smaller dose and adults needs quite heavy dose. The dosage should be used regularly as per the directions from your directions. This spray works differently for all, it may take 2 days for someone to respond and might even take 2 weeks for someone to respond. The effects of this medication depends upon the responsiveness of your body.
What happens in case of miss-dose of Rhinocort?
If in case you get to remember that you have missed any of its dose, and you are almost onto the timings of your next dose, then you can skip the missed one and continue with the normal scheduled dosage and never intake extra doses.
What happens in case of over-dose of Rhinocort?
