Important data

Drugs like caffeine, warfarin and other anticoagulants as well as SNRIs such as sulfonylureas should not be taken with Noroxin.


Any vaccines such as smallpox may have their effectiveness impacted when taken while taking a course of Noroxin.




Always take Noroxin exactly as you have been told to by your doctor in the prescription. Do not deviate from your doctor’s instructions in any way.


Take this medication before you eat. The perfect timing would be about 2 hours after a meal or after ingesting milk.


Take the pill with an entire glass of water. Always drink a lot of fluids while on this medication. Do not take magnesium, calcium or iron supplements up to 2 hours after taking this pill.


Take it for the entirety of your treatment course. Do not stop taking Noroxin just because your symptoms have receded.


Missed doses and overdose


If you miss a dose of this medication take it as soon as you remember. If you are about to take the next dose, ignore the one you missed. Never take a double dose to make up for it.


If you overdose on this medication, call emergency services immediately.
