Generic Name: Esomeprazole (ee so MEP ra zol)

Brand Names: Esomeprazole Strontium, Nexium

Where to buy Nexium online?

Nexium is a medication that uses esomeprazole as the main ingredient. It is a type of drug classified as a proton pump inhibitor.

This drug reduces the production of stomach acids and is an effective treatment for the symptoms of Gastro esophageal Reflux Disease (GERD) among others.

Diseases such as Zollinger – Ellison syndrome can also be treated using Nexium. The damage caused by excess stomach acid on the linings of the digestive tract can also be healed with this.

When Non-Steroidal Anti-Inflammatory Drugs (NSAIDs) cause damage and ulcers, Nexium may be prescribed to heal the damage and prevent future ulcers.

Important data

This medication is NOT intended to be used for immediate pain relief for heartburn.

Make sure that you follow all the instructions your doctor and pharmacist have given you. Inform these individuals of any allergies you have.

Do not take this medication if you have allergies to the main ingredient, esomeprazole, or to other acid reflux medications like AciPhex and Prevacid.

Heartburn symptoms are often very similar to heart attack symptoms. If you experience chest pain, pain in your arm or shoulder, sweating and nausea, call a doctor.

Tell your doctor right away if you have a severe hepatic condition, osteoporosis, osteopenia or a magnesium deficiency in your blood.

PPIs like Nexium are known to be related to an increase in the risk of hip, wrist and spinal fractures especially in people with a high dosage and who are 50 years or older.

The effect of Nexium on unborn children is unknown. Make sure you tell your doctor about a current or future pregnancy.

It is also unknown whether the medicine passes into children through breastfeeding or if it is harmful.

Always take this drug as told to by your doctor. Do not deviate from your prescription in any way. Never take additional doses of the drug.

The usual dosing schedule lasts for up to 2 months. After this, another dose may be given to you depending on your condition.

Each dose of Nexium must be drunk down with a glass of water, at least an hour before eating solid food.

If you are given a delayed release pill, do not crush, chew and break it.

If you use an NG feeding tube, open the capsule and mix the powder in 50 ml of water. Shake it well and use a syringe to inject it into the tube.

If your symptoms improve before the course of medication is over, do not stop taking it.

Using Nexium for periods of over 3 years can lead to a lack of B12 in your body. Consult a medical practitioner about this.

Incorrect dosing

If a dose is missed, tell your doctor and take the medication as soon as possible. If you are about to take the next dose, refrain taking the one you missed.

If you happen to overdose on Nexium, seek medical attention immediately.
