Description
The main component of Finpecia is finasteride. Finasteride is an inhibitor of intracellular enzyme. This enzyme converts testosterone to dihydrotestosterone (DHT).
Uses
This medication is used for the treatment of hair loss in men. It reduces the amount of DHT that is produced in the body. DHT causes the hair follicles in the scalp to reduce in size. This means that the hairs that are formed become finer and more diminutive. Eventually, the hair ceases to emerge from the follicle.
Finpecia is particularly helpful in the reversal of male patterned baldness. It reduces hair loss while stimulating the growth of hair. It targets the area around the middle of the scalp.
