Description

This medication is used for the treatment of hair loss in men. It reduces the amount of DHT that is produced in the body. DHT causes the hair follicles in the scalp to reduce in size. This means that the hairs that are formed become finer and more diminutive. Eventually, the hair ceases to emerge from the follicle.

 

Finpecia is particularly helpful in the reversal of male patterned baldness. It reduces hair loss while stimulating the growth of hair. It targets the area around the middle of the scalp.

Dosage

 

Always follow the prescription that your physician has provided. Do not take Finpecia in a greater or lower dosage than instructed.

If you forget to take your dose, take it as soon as you remember. If your next scheduled dose is due soon, skip the missed dose. Do not take two doses together.

Contraindications

 

 Finpecia should not be taken by women or children. This medication can be absorbed by the skin. It should not be handled by women or children.

 

 This medication can cause birth defects in children. Should a pregnant woman come in contact with Finpecia, they should wash their hands immediately.

 

 Do not take this medication if you have experienced allergic reactions with finasteride or dutasteride.

 

 Inform your physician if you have had a history of illnesses involving your liver, bladder, or kidneys.

 

 Inform your doctor if you are unable, or find it difficult, to urinate.

 

 This medication may increase the likelihood of developing prostate cancer. Do not take this medication if you have prostate cancer.

 

 Finpecia may affect the results of certain tests conducted to detect the presence of prostate cancer. Inform your physician and lab technician if you have been prescribed with Finpecia, before the tests are performed.

 

 Inform your doctor if you notice any physical or functional changes in your breast. This may be a symptom of male breast cancer.

 

 Inform your physician if you notice any changes in the physical or functional aspects of your genitals.

 

 Inform your doctor if you have been prescribed with any herbal supplements or medications.
