Dosage
Although the bark is directly used in its original form in many ayurvedic spas, the medication is commonly used in the form of a capsule or water pill. For instance, patients with chest pain and congestive heart failure are advised to take 500mg of Arjuna once in eight hours daily. If you are taking the medication in capsule form, then you must take two of them a day since each capsule contains 250mg of Arjuna.
Side effects
Similar to most ayurvedic treatments, this medication also has very few side effects. This does not mean that you consume the drug as you please. Taking too many capsules can affect your heart negatively. Precautions

The medication usually lasts for 3 months. Do not stop taking the drug during this period without consulting your physician.
